I know I've never been very close to her, I admit that. But if there's any talk of a baby shower or even a bridal shower for Pansy, I'd like to help out if I can. I'm sure Draco knows little about that sort of thing, and I imagine he and Teddy and their guy friends will be doing their own thing like bachelor parties and the sort. But a baby's something special and she'll probably be anxious as it is. Something relaxing like a gathering of friends and family might help her feel a bit more at ease. And not like everyone's hating her

Just a thought. Again, I know I don't have a great deal of say in the matter. But I care about Teddy and Draco in turn, and this little baby's important to both of them. Its mummy deserves some spoiling.

For anyone who hasn't yet heard, Teddy's father is being charged in the murder of my mum. Which part of me think is a load of bull. Only part, though Please don't hound him about it, though. Whatever did happen, he wasn't the one to do it. I haven't told my dad yet and I don't know if I'm going to. The Ministry wouldn't tell him directly because he's non-magical. I don't know. It's all crazy is what it is.

Oh, goodness, you're all entirely too good to me, you know that? I've got plenty of new books to read (which is always a bonus!), my room smells incredible (thank you, Teddy! You remembered? You told your MUM?), and I get to go be prettified. Yes, prettified, it's totally a word, and if it's with Tonks and she's an authority figure in plenty of circles, then she has the power to declare said word official. Not to mention I'll be swimming for the entire week to work off all these sweets!

So, based on the career searching I've been doing, I'm a 'visionary'. Here, let me write it out.

I really, really hope the book Ernie got for me puts that into slightly more understandable terms. Because that? Made little to no sense. Though a publicist... Maybe. But how??And I've no chance of running my own business.

Dad gave me a pair of diamond earrings. I didn't get it at first, they're a bit extravagant by his standards and a little impractical. Don't get me wrong, he also gave me a supply of new novels worth cuddling, but he thinks any form of reading is education, and he got me gift cards to my favourite clothing stores, too. But the earrings surprised me. They're lovely, really, and something I never would get for myself. Then he told me that Mum picked them out not long after I was born and they'd hidden them away for my eighteenth birthday. Eighteen being more important for muggles than seventeen is, see. A couple of years ago, she wrote out a card and everything. It felt a little strange to see her handwriting again, almost like she was there. I cried, of course, and honestly, so did he (those of you who've met him are never allowed to tell him you know!), but it was pretty remarkable. Apparently, they did the same sort of thing for both of my sisters. I'm just the first she wasn't actually here to celebrate with.

Needless to say, it was a good birthday.

Dad said yes to Canada! I know, I know, to a lot of you, having to get permission is just silly since we're of age and all, but I still live under his roof and have to follow his rules. That and he offered to pay for part of it. He and Mum got my brothers and sisters cars when they finished school, except Miriam who did Missionary work in South America. Since I don't exactly have need for a car, he's agreed to pay the airfare and a hotel while I'm there. Took forever to convince him I'll be okay. He's probably still not convinced. The curse of being the baby and all, I guess. And having my mother murde-- But so long as I call while I'm away, I think he's okay with it. Now I just have to plan what all I'll do while I'm there. There's so many museums and cultural centers, and the sailing is supposed to be incredible. I've spent all weekend with travel books. I'm really, really excited.

I've felt that a lot more often than usual lately. Must be leaving school and all.

It wouldn't be half so interesting if we know all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?"

It's a huge world out there, isn't it? I don't think I've let myself stop and realise just how large until now. Maybe I'll travel some after school. Dad would let me, I think, especially if I took a plane instead of a portkey. Maybe. Where to go, though?

Aren't they precious? I miss them, but I have to admit, I'm not entirely sure I want to go home to them. Well obviously I don't miss Daniel yet, I don't know him really, but you know what I mean. It's just weird to think soon I'll have the ability to go wherever I want.

I also passed Apparition. No big deal for most seventh years, I know, but it's big for me. And since I'm already seventeen, I don't even have to wait to use it. Definitely a good day, I'd think.

Everyone, don't forget to sign up for beach volleyball! There's two sign-up sheets outside Professor Sprout's office because she's amazing enough to let me put them there, thanks Professor! The first sign-up sheet is the just for fun games and you can either sign up alone or in teams of two and we use a beach ball which is a lot lighter than a real one. If you've never played or you want to play but are kind of scared to, this is definitely the match for you!

The other sheet is for the much more intense, highly anticipated, I'm making this up as I go but are you enticed yet? competition. Those you need to sign up in teams and we're using a real ball, which is a lot heavier. Just so you know! There's prizes for that one, and it'll be done tournament style later in the day.

There's also going to be a sandcastle building competition, for those of you wanting to get involved in competing but don't have the athletic heart to do so.

And on that note, I'd like to take this time to formally invite Theodore Nott to join me on the ferris wheel. And I'd also like to take this time to formally thank Professor McGonagall for not only approving this project, but for letting us make the Great Hall, erm, greater than usual?

I know I'm excited to meet up with my giver--and my givee! I hope everyone's been good to their Snowflakes, too. I may not be a prefect anymore, but I'm not exactly nice when you're mean to people. I don't know about everyone else, but I thought this was sort of fun.

Speaking of snowflakes, of the colder variety, it's perfect weather outside. I say one last snowball fight before we go home for hols! Who's with me? Before the tea, perhaps? Or after?

I can't believe Saturday's here already. What a week! It should be fun, though, camping out. We used to do it all the time when I was little, but then my brothers and sisters started getting older and moving out and it didn't matter anymore. But I am still a champion marshmallow roaster, and since we have to do it all the muggle way---

Oh my goodness, I just realised what a thrill it's going to be to watch some of you lot pitch a tent without magic! If anyone needs help, honestly just come to me. I sort of love doing it.
